Information Technology
Embracing and integrating information Technology (I.T) as tools for communication, organizational development and service delivery represents huge opportunities and challenges in the process of transforming and strengthening the role and impact of the Nigerian youth.
In Nigeria , many youths still have very limited I.T capacity and few are interested in I.T related issues as they are in other development issues (e.g. banking) and very few NGOs specializes in I.T issues as their primary or secondary activities. The involvement of NGOs in National I.T policy and advocacy processes is therefore also limited.
Other initiatives of
YBIZII aimed at raising awareness about I.T issues as well as capacity building among Nigerian youths include:
* Computer And Motivational Program (CAMP)
* Business & Information Technology Achievers Peak
* Computer Acquisition Scheme (CAS)
* Meet The Achievers (MTA)
Entrepreneurship
Our proposed Information Technology Achievers Center is dedicated to helping Nigerian youths to make educated decisions about starting and growing their businesses.
The Center will aim to promote Nigeria's economy, through the development of products and services that encourage entrepreneurship and support business growth.
The Center will have consultants of dedicated business professionals, who provide advice and counsel to youths who wants to become entrepreneurs on a variety of levels and also provides links to other business organizations.
Already 2 major partners: Whitedge Global services and Lead Consulting has shown interest to support in the setup of the center.
